Joe Caporaso is an Atlanta based guitarist whose playing moves from fingerstyle acoustic guitar to electric blues with ease, character, and a deep respect for the song. He has performed around the country as a solo artist and with various local, regional and national acts.
As a solo fingerstyle acoustic guitarist, Joe’s arrangements and originals draw heavily from Piedmont blues, Chet Atkins, Leo Kottke, and Tommy Emmanuel. From concert listening to atmosphere-setting, Joe’s performances are equally at home in arts festivals, breweries, galleries, listening rooms, and private gatherings.
On electric guitar, Joe brings an improvisational voice shaped by years of playing with various acts; he currently performs with Mudcat and the Redeemers.
In the studio, Joe has contributed to a variety of recording projects ranging from full band productions to intimate solo sessions. His versatility and attention to detail have made him a sought-after collaborator in Atlanta’s music scene.
